Grove of the Gourd Dwarf

OPEN TABLE CODE OF CONDUCT - GOURD DWARF'S GOOD GAMING GUIDELINES

  1. Avoid crosstalk. If you have a problem speaking over others, use push-to-talk.

  2. Assign player roles and stick to them. Too many cooks in the kitchen fucks up good soup.

  3. Show up on time. If youre going to be running late, let those facilitating the game know ahead of time.

  4. Be prepared. Have your characters ready. Keep track of your items and statistics during play.

  5. Ask questions before the session, outside of the game so things can be quickly underway.

  6. Questions made during the session should be reserved for clarifying the fiction and dealing with the game at hand.

  7. Rules clarifications or issues with rulings should be made after closing procedures (Gold and XP distribution, etc) and the session is over.

  8. If your camera is on, act like it. Dont pick your nose.

  9. When making a roll in a text channel on-line, mark the purpose of the roll. If you are playing on-line with physical dice and there are many dice being rolled, it is best practice to log the result and purpose in the chat.

  10. RPGs are social but its not a space for idle conversation. We gather to play the game and that should be one's focus for its duration. Jokes can be made in the text chat and if spoken aloud they should not be longer than a sentence. To that end: Speak with purpose.

  11. Do not hum and haw over minor decision points during a short pick-up game. Its a waste of everyone's time.

  12. RESPECT THE LEGACY, KEEP THINGS STRAIGHT
