Androids
'Droids and 'noids are pseudoflesh human facsimiles integrated with a slickware and cyberware nervous system. Universal Cosmic Law dictates that their irises be red for easy identification. Supressed emotions indicated by high fear save. As synths are manufactured at a high cost for a specific purpose, they are all essentially groomed for their role before activation.
Synths usually have a death gene to limit their lifespans. This gene can be deactivated or supressed at the whims of the manufacturer. With no intervention Synthetic Humans will die of a horrible cancer at a predetermined point in time. Some synths even pay a mortgage on blackmarket life extensions.
The three biggest manufacturers for synthetic humans are Jeters-McCormac, CYBERDAM and Pygmalion Co. They each specialize in something different:
- J.M. synths are the most common. Scientists, bureaucrats, lawyers, executives, etc. They also produce synths for manual labour.
- CYBERDAM produces high grade military synths.
- Pygmalion Co. Designer synths. Popular for their pleasure models.
PSEUDOFLESH IS ADDICTIVE Symptoms of pseudoflesh addiction include keratinization, mental instability and terrible withdrawals. The pseudoflesh is never fully cleansed from the addict's biology and as a result cannot be cured, only managed.
