Dragonscat Firearms (Treasure Hunters: Scroll Battle)

Dragonscat Firearms

Shout out to The Realm of Yolmi (for the initial inspiration), Frontier Scum (for the autohit) and Delta Green (for the Lethality Rating).

Pistol - LR 10% 40'/120'

Handgonne - LR 15% 30'/90' (slow rate of fire)

Musket - LR 25% 80'/240'

Blunderbuss - LR 30% 20'/60'

Cannon - LR 35% 60'/180' (extremely heavy, slow rate of fire)

Handgonner

Every weapon has a two ranges. This is Effective/Maximum range. The hits are dealt automatically within Effective Range. Outside of Effective Range but within the Maximum Range, Save vs Ray to avoid peril.

If someone gets shot, a d100 is thrown. Anything equal to or below the Lethality Rating kills instantly, up to a 3 HD. Every HD above that lowers the LR by 5%.

If a target is not LETHALIZED, add the digits of the roll and apply damage to HP (e.g, while firing a Pistol, Borg rolls a 22 on the d100 and deals 4 damage).

A roll of 00,0 (100) results in a misfire and the firearm explodes in the wielder's hands and deals LR/5 d6 damage as fireball. Adjacent fellows Save vs Breath for half damage.

Ammunition costs 1/10th of a firearm

Pistol 800gp/80gp per shot

Handgonne 500gp/50gp per shot

Musket 1200gp/120gp per shot

Blunderbuss 2400gp/240gp per shot

Cannon 8000gp/800gp per shot

Blunderbuss deals 2x damage Cannon deals 4x damage

Pistols can be duel wielded.

All firearms take a round to reload. Slow weapons are lit and then fire in the next round.

Dragonscat smoke is extremely noxious. Exposure causes stinging eyes, burning lungs, and blistering skin. It leaves thick caustic soot all over. As a result, Dragonscat Firearms are extremely dangerous within enclosed spaces. When choking is an issue, Save vs Paralysis each round to act. Due to poor visibility, attacks are made at -4 to hit. Take 1HP damage each turn spent in the smoke.

Addendum for boring people:

The above are rules for Dragonscat Firearms in the Land of Rem.
For mundane firearms treat AC as 9 and scale the damage like so:

Pistol - d6
Handgonne - d8
Musket - d10
Blunderbuss - d12
Cannon - d20

Note: There are no mundane firearms in the Land of Rem.
